Browser tools for the jobs around a 3D print: cutting a model that is too big for your printer, building a mold around a master, turning artwork or a photo into a multi-color 3MF, and designing clickers, ornaments and keychains.
The design tools need a Printara account, which costs nothing and needs no card. New accounts start with 0 credits, so the label on each card says what works without them.
Cut a model that is too big for your print bed into parts that key back together with resin pins, dowels, square keys, cone studs or dovetails. On a desktop with 8 GB of memory or more the cut runs in your browser and the file stays on your computer; phones, smaller computers and models over 1.5 million triangles are cut on Printara servers, also for 0 credits.
Turn a picture into a fidget clicker: a button and pedestal for a Cherry MX-style keyboard switch, exported as a multi-color 3MF and STL. Only the optional AI redraw (10 credits) and a sculpted 3D relief clicker (30 credits) are paid.
Build a printable mold around your STL: an adaptive silicone shell, a tray, an open box, a cut mold, a two-part mold, a press mold or a vessel with a core, with air trap and pour checks.
Ready-made models with the filament colors already assigned: reliefs, ornaments, figurines and clickers for AMS printing.
Which tool do I need?
I need a 3D model first
Use the AI 3D Generator: a photo, an image or a text prompt becomes a 3D model you can export as an STL at your print height or as a multi-color 3MF.
My model is too big for my printer
Use the STL Splitter. Draw the cut or let it plan cuts from your bed size, pick a joint, and download numbered parts with an assembly guide.
I want to cast copies of a model
Use the AI Mold Maker to print a shell or box for silicone around your STL, and watch a real mold go from the silicone pour to the resin cast. Prices are on the Mold Maker page, or ask the Printara Atelier in Prague to make the mold and the casts for you.
I have a logo or drawing and want it in color
Use Image to 3MF: color layers turn flat artwork into one printable part per filament.
Use the AI Laser Cut Generator: describe a box, a sign or a book nook and get flat parts nested on your sheet, with SVG and DXF files for every sheet.
I want a multi-color print for my AMS
Paint your own textured 3D model into a multi-color 3MF with 1 to 16 filaments in the AI 3MF Generator; it runs on your device and uses no credits. For a finished file, browse the multicolor 3MF collection or the whole marketplace.
I want to see it done first
The splitter, the Mold Maker and the ornament maker each have a short video lesson in the Printara Academy, listed below, and the clicker has a step-by-step guide.
The design tools need a Printara account, which costs nothing and needs no card. The STL Splitter uses no credits. In the ornament maker, 2D designs, tracing, color layers, photo mosaic and all exports use no credits, while optional AI steps and 3D reliefs do. Flat fidget clickers use no credits; the optional AI redraw and a 3D relief clicker do. The Mold Maker is free when the mold is computed on your own computer; a build on our server costs credits, from 10 per mold. New accounts start with 0 credits.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The tools open in a web browser, and a desktop or laptop screen works best. On a desktop computer with enough memory the splitter cuts the model and the Mold Maker builds the mold inside your browser. The splitter runs on Printara servers on phones and smaller computers; the Mold Maker needs a desktop or laptop screen, and on slower computers and for very large models it can build on Printara servers for credits. 3D reliefs and 3D clickers are always made on Printara servers.
Which files do the tools export?
STL for single-color prints, 3MF with separate colored parts for multi-color printers and SVG for laser cutting. The splitter and the Mold Maker hand you a ZIP of STL parts.
Where are my designs saved?
You can save designs to the Library in your Printara account and open them again later. Listing a design on the Printara marketplace needs a paid creator plan; plans and the marketplace fee are on the pricing page.
